Jamaica Communities Development Organization USA Inc. started in February of 2016. A group of ladies gathered after church on Sunday's for brunch and passionately discussed various topics of interest such as religion, politics and current events happening back home in Jamaica and here in the United States.

Naturally, these conversations led us to discuss the communities near and dear to our hearts, where we were born and raised, the places we first called Home. We were deeply troubled by the living condition in some of these communities. Our major concerns were the children who took to the streets with nothing else more productive and promising to do. We all agreed that there had to be something we could do to help. Together, we decided to not just talk about it but to put our brains together and actually reach out and help. This brought about the birth of our brain child, the “Jamaica Communities Development Organization, USA Inc.” We have already made significant strides! We have grown and flourished because of the pioneering spirit of our members and friends who believed in our mission and have given us much valued support.

 

Our aim is to build a national revitalization movement, communicate and advocate for the underserved in the communities.
